If we walk in the pages of scripture, the degeneration we are witnessing in the world today becomes completely discernible! There is increasingly becoming an utter breakdown of the spiritual tapestry amongst mankind that is not only appearing outside of the confines of the church, but also within its very ranks! The substratum of this destruction is dualistic in its nature; it requires only the deathly amalgamation of unbridled humanism (human merit/goodness) and satanism (tempting pride)! This deathly amalgamation leads ultimately to the absence of the Lord’s presence in the human heart (estrangement) and makes for a virtual certainty that death will appear in ways and places that we have not previously considered! One of the ways this can laconically be seen is, if we were to apply the aphoristic question, “Why do good people die young?”! This question is easily answered if we place it before the forensic lens of scripture! The scripture declares that, (All our righteousnesses are as filthy rags;) and (All have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;)! The issue of the Kingdom of God as it relates to this subject isn’t one of right or wrong (morality), good or bad (ethics), conscience or concupiscence (psychoanalysis), left or right (politics), nor yet agreement or dispute (polemics)! The issue of the Kingdom of God, as it relates to mankind is one of “Holy” or “Unholy”! The scripture is clear in principle that, “the wicked will be cut down in their youth”! We are witnessing sore tribulation in diverse manners and places due to a lack of Holiness throughout mankind! Our sinful nature nullifies our goodness and religious effort before an Absolute and Sovereign King like the God of the bible, thus requiring, that His Holiness be ultimately answered! This answering of God’s Holiness was accomplished in Jesus Christ and Him “alone”! The reception of salvation in Christ “alone” by mankind is our only exit from this crucible of destruction!
