Absolute Realism

What we critically need in the process of our theological thoughts and even in our churches today is a powerful dose of Absolute realism. As we process our faith when we become believers, and as the Holy Spirit comes to be present in us ( the true meaning of baptism), we must critically realize that He is not going to override our ability as free moral agents when it comes to sin. If we really want to sin we still possess the ability to sin in spite of His presence within us. What the Holy Spirit does bring within us, is the substratum of Divine presence and power ( what it truly means to be anointed) so that if we choose to overcome any particular mortal or spiritual sin we have a presence and power that supercedes our own, allowing us to conquer those areas that are causing affliction in our lives. What the Holy Spirit does immediately remove in our lives when He comes to live within us is the universal concept of sin which is referred to as “estrangement”. The Holy Spirit’s presence within us conquers our immediate awareness that we are estranged from our Heavenly Father and Creator and cleanses us from past and present sins but does not disengage our free moral wills over against future transgressions. We must continue to walk into the future measures of Holiness through obedience to our Father’s word, repentance/penitential prayer, and a willingness to do what is spiritually, morally, and ethically responsible by the presence and power of the Holy Spirit if we are to have lives free of the prehensible tentacles of sin. We must stop complaining and blaming the Lord, our neighbors, or even ourselves for the sin in our lives and spiritually grow in maturity to where we responsibly deal with habitual sin and free our lives of it at all costs and sacrifice. Making anyone else culpable will not resolve the problem. (Just reflecting in the early evening hour)

Spiritual Maturity> Full Operating Measure

Spiritual maturity is operating at the full measure of the Holy Spirit’s presence within you! This full operating measure serves as the substratum of wisdom, knowledge, and understanding in the life of the believer and affects every area of life with guiding principles from the word of the Lord (Bible)! This is the understanding of the word “perfect” as used in the King James Version(Matthew 5:48). This principle I have exposited is eloquently laid out by the Apostle Paul in 1 Corinthians 2:9-16!

Decision Making Processes

One of the greatest tragedies and incongruities of the human spirit in modernity of present time is the lack of wisdom, knowledge, and understanding in the decision making processes of many people. The unchecked and unbalanced emotion that leads these processes in the lives of an untold myriad of people is both disturbing and alarming. I learned many years ago that ignorance and unbridled emotion is the deadliest amalgamation known to mankind when it comes to decision making processes that effect leaderships, partnerships, relationships, futures and dreams building, business, politics, spiritual foundations, marriages, and a plethora of other key areas that serve as foundational realities in our lives. The greatest consequence of leading our decision making processes through the deadly amalgamation of ignorance and unbridled emotion is a deep spiritual and pragmatic suffering that defies human comprehension and purpose. This deep suffering has no answer as to why an individual can go an entire life time where every personal relationship they entertain ends up tainted. No answer as to why there are so many one parent and even parent less homes that should (in proper context) be two parent homes that serve as the foundations for potential future leadership candidates across all genres of purpose and calling. No answer as to why more ominously there are many individuals that possess great potentialities in life however, very few are ever actualized especially in the realm of realized dreams. We must come to a critical realization that to gain wisdom, knowledge, and understanding for the purposes of being led in our decision making processes is of crucial and life changing importance and will avoid the kind of deep suffering that all too often plagues modernity to ungodly proportions. Love Ethic

What has clearly been overlooked in these precarious times in which we live is the “Love Ethic” which is a principle that refers to an individual’s ability to govern and adjudicate decisions based upon the ethic of Divine love. “Love Ethic” is a principle that expresses the need to love the other person not based upon any other qualifying factor such as race, creed, religion, sexual preference, etc. but based upon unconditional love that recognizes the other person as a centered ego (the true meaning of the term individual) made in the image and likeness of God the Father with the distinction of being a free moral agent. Luke 6:27-38 embodies the “Love Ethic” principle, however, it is the 38th verse that is the most telling. This verse is usually presented for the purpose of tithing however, contextually that is not what The Lord was referring to. He was referring to the detriment of judging the other person. He reveals that in us adjudicating as it relates to another person’s life we will receive that same adjudication (judgment) but at a greater measure and intensity. It’s interesting to note how we judge that others should receive the death penalty until our son, daughter, friend, etc is being strapped down and hooked to the needles. We judge an individual who is struggling with alcohol and drug addiction until it is one of our beloved family members or friends. We judge people in a gay lifestyle, we judge people who have different political or religious views, we judge people who are hurting, sick, afflicted, tormented, who want to be delivered and free until the day when death brings about a deathly manifestation in our own lives. Until we’re the center of the gossip, scorn, ridicule, and intense hate with it being given back to us with a greater intensity and then we cry for mercy but Jesus says none will be afforded because we did not give any in our time of strength. We must learn that the “Love Ethic” i.e. Divine Love is not based upon emotion or affect for the other person; it is rather based upon a spiritually mature response of good will towards all mankind with understanding that in adjudicating, hating, or harming the other person we should fully expect that deathly manifestation to be measured back to us with greater intensity. Christ Kingdom> Civil Conduct

Romans chapter 13 is the standard every believer is to conduct themselves by as it relates to civil law and political power. The substratum of this standard is based upon the two great commandments given by Jesus when challenged by the religious powers of his time: “Love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, soul, mind, and strength> (the second being like it) Love your neighbor as yourself.” There is no need to fear any governing powers when your absolute trust is in the Lord. The same God that turned King Nebuchadnezzar out to the field like a insane beast until he acknowledged Yaweh’s sovereignty, the same God that reduced four major world empires through several millennia to a fleeting thought, the same God who on May 14, 1948 birthed the nation of Israel in one day fulfilling Old Testament prophecy to the utter dismay of the League of Nations (U.N.), the same God that brought warriors from all over the world to break and destroy Hitler, the Third Reich, and the Axis powers without remedy is the “same” God that is able to deliver us from wayward civil and governmental powers by His mighty power. We will not bow but we must respect the structures given by our Sovereign King the Most High God out of respect and love for Him. Judgment is His and He will repay where His word is violated. He is calling us to be vigilant, sober minded, and to walk in a demonstration of His power and Spirit towards a watching unbelieving world. One Love in Christ and may the Spirit be in you!
