Engaging The Holy Spirit

There are two absolutely critical things to consider when engaging our precious Holy Spirit! Firstly, do you have the Holy Spirit’s presence and power communing with and operating in you? In other words, is He your precious possession? Secondly, (and just as critical) Does the Holy Spirit have your presence and power communing with and operating in Him? In other words, are you His precious possession? The clear and present danger becomes speaking and working for the Lord in a way that is unauthorized by His Spirit because this dynamic principle (or what it means to have life-force/vitality as concrete rule) is lacking! This will bring the caveat in the word of the Lord to pass when He states: “Many will say to me in that day Lord we have done many wonderful works in your name….. but I will say depart from me you workers of iniquity I never knew you”! Impenetrable Discipline

When I served in the United States Marine Corps one thing was laconically clear to me, and that was, we had the impenetrable discipline to train even when there was no conflict on the horizon! We had the impenetrable discipline to train when everyone else was shopping, sleeping, partying, etc. We had the impenetrable discipline to train no matter how we felt or what we were experiencing in any facet of our lives! As people of faith in the modern era, we must train (what it means to read and study the bible, communicate with our Father in Heaven through fervent prayer, fasting, read relative theological works that help to educate and anchor our faith, etc.) with an impenetrable discipline when there is no conflict on the horizon; when everyone else is distracted with the cares of this life; and when we aren’t feeling our best and sometimes under duress through what we experience! We must be faithful to this lifestyle of worship because the time of conflict will appear and we must be ready, confident, and available to the Lord (our Commander and Chief) to serve and serve with surgical precision! Conflict has appeared all around us in the modern era in many forms! These conflicts are not natural requiring man made weapons and policies! These conflicts are spiritual and mystical (what it means to be in the unseen realm) requiring weapons of mass spiritual destruction and the timeless principles of our faith! Many around us are spiritually, animistically, and physically war weary and torn to magnanimous proportions! We must be ready with a word of wisdom, unconditional love, prayer, hugs, tears, worship, psalms and spiritual songs, etc; in order to prevent more spiritual casualties! (1 Peter 3:15) People can say and feel whatever they want, however, we must be wise enough to know that our training, discipline, and faith is critically needed in this hour no matter what people may say or rationalize about us! The true meaning of the term “miracle” has been lost in our generation! A “miracle” is not the defying of natural laws but the restoration of a subject or object to what was originally intended! Spiritual disorder in people’s hearts psychosomatically creates the maladies and dysfunctional diseases and experiences that cause such great suffering! Real miracles break out when we speak to the radix (latin word meaning root) of the human spirit and watch as it is restored to what was originally intended! Our words are critically powerful and what we’re saying deeply matters! There are many physically healthy people who are dying internally! My fellow believers, our training is critical, our time of conflict is before us, and we must answer the call if we are to win this war! (Just reflecting in the early morning hour)

Absolute Realism

What we critically need in the process of our theological thoughts and even in our churches today is a powerful dose of Absolute realism. As we process our faith when we become believers, and as the Holy Spirit comes to be present in us ( the true meaning of baptism), we must critically realize that He is not going to override our ability as free moral agents when it comes to sin. If we really want to sin we still possess the ability to sin in spite of His presence within us. What the Holy Spirit does bring within us, is the substratum of Divine presence and power ( what it truly means to be anointed) so that if we choose to overcome any particular mortal or spiritual sin we have a presence and power that supercedes our own, allowing us to conquer those areas that are causing affliction in our lives. What the Holy Spirit does immediately remove in our lives when He comes to live within us is the universal concept of sin which is referred to as “estrangement”. The Holy Spirit’s presence within us conquers our immediate awareness that we are estranged from our Heavenly Father and Creator and cleanses us from past and present sins but does not disengage our free moral wills over against future transgressions. We must continue to walk into the future measures of Holiness through obedience to our Father’s word, repentance/penitential prayer, and a willingness to do what is spiritually, morally, and ethically responsible by the presence and power of the Holy Spirit if we are to have lives free of the prehensible tentacles of sin. We must stop complaining and blaming the Lord, our neighbors, or even ourselves for the sin in our lives and spiritually grow in maturity to where we responsibly deal with habitual sin and free our lives of it at all costs and sacrifice. Making anyone else culpable will not resolve the problem. (Just reflecting in the early evening hour)

Spiritual Maturity> Full Operating Measure

Spiritual maturity is operating at the full measure of the Holy Spirit’s presence within you! This full operating measure serves as the substratum of wisdom, knowledge, and understanding in the life of the believer and affects every area of life with guiding principles from the word of the Lord (Bible)! This is the understanding of the word “perfect” as used in the King James Version(Matthew 5:48). This principle I have exposited is eloquently laid out by the Apostle Paul in 1 Corinthians 2:9-16!

Decision Making Processes

One of the greatest tragedies and incongruities of the human spirit in modernity of present time is the lack of wisdom, knowledge, and understanding in the decision making processes of many people. The unchecked and unbalanced emotion that leads these processes in the lives of an untold myriad of people is both disturbing and alarming. I learned many years ago that ignorance and unbridled emotion is the deadliest amalgamation known to mankind when it comes to decision making processes that effect leaderships, partnerships, relationships, futures and dreams building, business, politics, spiritual foundations, marriages, and a plethora of other key areas that serve as foundational realities in our lives. The greatest consequence of leading our decision making processes through the deadly amalgamation of ignorance and unbridled emotion is a deep spiritual and pragmatic suffering that defies human comprehension and purpose. This deep suffering has no answer as to why an individual can go an entire life time where every personal relationship they entertain ends up tainted. No answer as to why there are so many one parent and even parent less homes that should (in proper context) be two parent homes that serve as the foundations for potential future leadership candidates across all genres of purpose and calling. No answer as to why more ominously there are many individuals that possess great potentialities in life however, very few are ever actualized especially in the realm of realized dreams. We must come to a critical realization that to gain wisdom, knowledge, and understanding for the purposes of being led in our decision making processes is of crucial and life changing importance and will avoid the kind of deep suffering that all too often plagues modernity to ungodly proportions.
